Prayer for Spiritual Growth, Transformation, & Leadership Development

Last Monday (a week ago), our Monday Night Transitional Conversations group developed a prayer around our latest topic.

O God, present with us, journeying with us,
open us to “Spiritual Growth.”
We ask for empowerment, to collect our thoughts,
awareness of where you are leading or pushing us,
trust and confidence in you,
and strength to do it.
As we find ways to make our congregation available to your transformation,
we ask for guidance and discernment,
awareness of your will,
not our own.
As we find ways to reach our leadership goal,
we ask for encouragement and courage,
for wisdom, for resources,
and for opportunity.
As we help build a city where no one journeys alone, we ask for direction.
Identify for us those who journey alone. Amen.
