Our community of Faith has recently identified its vision - Helping Build a City Where No One Journeys Alone. This opens a very wide door to explore, so our Monday Evening Transitional Conversations identified three areas for me to research. One of these was with people who journey alone because of the death of a loved one. And that, in turn, led me to the office of Bereaved Families of Ontario.
I had a most informative meeting with Judy. I have copies of their newsletter, and some brochures to distribute. And we will be looking at some opportunities, especially in the Fall.
For now, they are having a Yard Sale to benefit the organization (which receives most of its funding through United Way).
